Naser al-Din Shah’s Prize (جایزه ناصرالدین شاه)

Historians of this period have written that when the students of the engineering department of Dar al-Funun (دارالفنون), under the direction of their teacher, Monsieur Kresse (موسیو کرشش), drew a map of the city of Tehran for the first time and presented it to the Shah, they were awarded a prize of 3,000 tomans (تومان).
