The attacks by preachers and orators in Tehran (\u062a\u0647\u0631\u0627\u0646) intensified, and every day the vo\u02bf\u0101z openly and severely attacked Ain al-Dawlah (\u0639\u06cc\u0646\u200c\u0627\u0644\u062f\u0648\u0644\u0647). Secret societies opposing the government increased in number, and, generally speaking, the entire population demanded constitutional government.<\/p>\n
Ain al-Dawlah (\u0639\u06cc\u0646\u200c\u0627\u0644\u062f\u0648\u0644\u0647) exiled a number of political figures who opposed him. Haj Sheikh Mohammad Va\u02bfez (\u062d\u0627\u062c \u0634\u06cc\u062e \u0645\u062d\u0645\u062f \u0648\u0627\u0639\u0638), one of Tehran\u2019s prominent preachers, delivered sermons every day in the Sar-e Polak (\u0633\u0631\u067e\u0648\u0644\u06a9) neighborhood, denouncing Ain al-Dawlah.<\/p>\n
Sheikh Mohammad Va\u02bfez (\u0634\u06cc\u062e \u0645\u062d\u0645\u062f \u0648\u0627\u0639\u0638) was arrested by soldiers, but the people, led by Seyyed Ahmad Behbahani (\u0633\u06cc\u062f \u0627\u062d\u0645\u062f \u0628\u0647\u0628\u0647\u0627\u0646\u06cc), rescued him from the Cossack forces. The confrontation escalated into gunfire. During the incident, a theology student named Seyyed Abdolhamid (\u0633\u06cc\u062f \u0639\u0628\u062f\u0627\u0644\u062d\u0645\u06cc\u062f) was killed, while several others, including Adib al-Zakerin (\u0627\u062f\u06cc\u0628\u200c\u0627\u0644\u0630\u0627\u06a9\u0631\u06cc\u0646), were wounded.<\/p>\n
